There is no denying here guys that Chelsea Houska is indeed a Teen Mom favorite. She is loved by so many Teen Mom viewers, probably due to the fact that she is an absolute rare case when it comes to Teen Mom cast members who have never been in any kind of scandal.
Or, well, that was true up until recently, disappointingly we're learning that in the past, Chelsea has made some rather offensive comments via social media. Despite her trying to conceal this, the internet never forgets …and it sure came back to haunt her.
Chelsea always seemed easy to attract such a loving fan base as she is not like the other teen moms at all, she made it easy for everyone to love and follow her.
So here is a rundown of why; she never lost custody of her children, she was never guilty of assault and on the show, she portrays a happy and stable life, and really the only dark times she's ever exposed has been because of abusive ex-partner Adam Lind.
Oh and we can't forget that she now has a sweet and beautiful husband, three gorgeous children, and a supportive family -- it's a rare sight, right? But now her reputation seems to be taking a major shift and not in a good way.
Several people including celebrities have been fired from their jobs recently due to racial social media comments.
One example is Stassi Schroeder who was fired from Vanderpump Rules for some seriously shocking racist statements and also his behavior was out of line too.
Taylor Selfridge, the girlfriend of Cory Wharton, has been fired from Teen Mom OG for some tweets she made several years ago. This sounds just like what Chelsea is dealing with right now, old posts are resurfacing!
MTV was especially shocked to see something like this from Chelsea. Is MTV going to fire Chelsea too? I think she has too good of a consistent reputation for them to let her go over this, this is so out of character for her, or is this really showing Chelsea for who she really is not who we think she is?
MTV is apparently taking this so seriously that they've started checking all the cast members' social media accounts for any similarly offensive content.
"They were told if they don’t complete the background check, or refuse, they may not be allowed to appear on the following season of the show.
Here's a screenshot of an older Instagram post of hers featuring her friend Laura, who she sometimes refers to as "ling ling."
We know this because in another post with Laura that she captioned
"Lingling you forgot your bling bling."
This is considered a racist comment as it's a quote from that old Rob Schneider movie, The gorgeous looking woman, said by a very stereotypical Asian character.
Chelsea made changes to the posts. In the post where she wrote "Love my ling ling" then tagged her friend, she removed the "ling ling" part altogether.
And she just deleted the other post completely, which was probably for the best. So why did Chelsea delete the comments and posts? did she realize they were offensive or did MTV catch her up on it? Only she would be able to confirm this one. Maybe Chelsea just thought of “ling ling” as a cool nickname end of story.
