NBA Superstar, Klay Thompson will be missing the entire 2020-21 season due to a torn Achilles tendon that he suffered from a workout on Wednesday in Southern California.
Thompson told several NBA players in LA that he had felt pain in his calf area before the tear happened.
Warriors General Manager said that coach Steve Kerr and numerous members of the Warrior’s training staff were expected to fly to Los Angeles to support Thompson.
Thomas is expected to make a full recovery and is expected to return to the court for the 2021-22 season.
Torn Achilles injuries usually take 9-12 months for a full recovery. However, Kobe Bryant made a speedy recovery in eight months when he suffered the same injury back in 2013.
Thompson, 30, missed all of last season after tearing the ACL in his left knee during Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. This is very unfortunate news for The Golden State Warriors.
Here’s to a speedy recovery.
