Kanye West Is Experiencing Difficulty Getting On The Ballot Of His Home State Illinois

Kanye West is hanging on a thin thread for Illinois ballot. His petition is being reviewed he is just above the minimum required so if there are objections he hasn't got much room to move.

Kanye West has talked about running for president sporadically for years and now it's actually happening. As we have all shockingly seen, Kanye has not got off on a good start with his erratic and melodramatic North Charleston, South Carolina, presidential rally on July 19, leaving his family terribly concerned for his mental well being and potentially causing a break in his marriage.

Kanye sadly missed the deadline to get on the ballots for Florida, North Carolina, Texas, New Mexico, Indiana, Nevada, Michigan, Delaware, and South Carolina. However fortunately for Kanye, the majority of deadlines for the rest of the states are August, still giving Kanye a decent shot at running for president. It looks like the rapper has bought his way into the Oklahoma ballot that was easy, but not so easy for Illinois.

On Friday Kanye’s twitter post garnered more than 79,000 likes where he photoshopped his face into Mount Rushmore captioned; 2020. The monument in South Dakota is engraved with four former US presidents. If you take a closer look, you'll see Kanye as the fifth face on the cliff.

Confirmed by People, according to a spokeswoman for the state's election board. Kanye has already qualified to run as an independent candidate to run in the ballot of Oklahoma after paying 35K filing fee on the very last day. However, Kanye ain’t so lucky for this state, not sure money is enough to buy his way on the Illinois ballot.

According to Illinois State Board of Elections spokesman Matt Dietrich, despite Kanye hosting a campaign the day before the deadline lasting an entire hour he failed to obtain and submit the minimum signatures required in South Carolina (10,000) and also failed to gather all of the required signatures he needed in Florida (132,000) which means he will not appear on either South Carolina or Florida’s election ballot in November.

He likewise has missed the cutoff for other large states like Michigan and Texas. The majority of deadlines for the rest of the states are in August.

Kanye is faced with not one but three separate challenges regarding his home state, Illinois Ballot. These challenges include three rejections to the legitimacy of the signatures collected in order to allow him a place on the presidential ballot in Illinois for November 3rd. Kanye’s biggest obstacle is that in the state of Illinois signatures can be challenged, so despite the fact that Kanye indeed obtained 3,200 signatures which are just above 2,500 signatures to meet his low threshold in order to get his name on the ballot, it doesn't mean it will happen. A meeting will be held by local Illinois politicians, election lawyers and residents to determine whether Kanye will get his name approved on the Illinois ballot list.

If Kanye’s signatures are challenged he doesn't have enough room to move so this could push him out, he would be scraping it lets put it that way.

According to People Kanye’s paperwork review has commenced this week and will look into challenging the validity of the signatures by the deadline which is Monday.

People shared that election attorney Pericles Abbasi said;

"If someone did challenge him, I think he would be off the ballot,”

According to People as of Thursday morning, there have been a total of 13 different Illinois residents requesting Kanye’s petition for review. No objections have yet been filed, however, according to Dietrich, the election board spokesman, it could take days for says an objection filing to be put together.

Well, we just have to leave this in God's hands just like Kanye told the magazine.

“Let’s see if the appointing is at 2020 or if it’s 2024 — because God appoints the president. If I win in 2020 then it was God’s appointment,” he told the magazine. “If I win in 2024 then that was God’s appointment.”
“I have to say with all humility that as a man, I don’t have all of the pieces in the puzzle”.

Kanye also told Forbes;

“God just gave me the clarity and said it’s time. … Now it’s time. And we’re not going crazy, we’re going Yeezy.”

I think enough has been said here don’t ya think. Lets just hang tight and see what God has in store for Kanye.
