Rapper DMX suffered from a drug overdose on Friday night, and sources close to the rapper are stating that he’s in grave condition.
DMX had the overdose late Friday night around 11 pm and unfortunately, that triggered a heart attack.
DMX was rushed to a critical care unit of a hospital in White Plains, New York. The source claims that there is “some brain activity.” Another source says he’s in a “vegetative state” with doctors considering that he may not make it.
Unfortunately, the rapper is no stranger to substance abuse. In 2019 he checked himself into rehab after he completed a 12-month sentence for tax evasion.
DMX is well known for being a major player with the Ruff Ryders label. He made his return to the stage just before the pandemic hit, back in December of 2019 when he performed at Hakkassan in Las Vegas. His last performance was against Snoop Dogg during a Verzuz battle in July of 2020. The episode generated over 500k viewers.
During his stage performance on stage in Vegas back in 2019, DMX had the following to say:
"When you fall down, get back up, everyone here has been through some s**t and you never know what God is willing to do for you until you need him to do something for you."
Well wishes sir, we here are rooting for you.
