The county officials have declared that the Safer-At-Home Order is to be extended till May 15.

The announcement was made by L.A. County health director Barbara Ferrer, last Friday at a Press Conference.

So what do they mean by the Safer-at-home order? basically people are limited with where they can go and what they can do, at the moment leaving home for essential needs is the only acceptable outing (such as doctors visit or grocery store).

Most parks, public beaches and hiking trails are closed.

This is all to limit the spread of the coronavirus, that has killed so many americans and is yet to be fully controlled.

Daily life has had a complete shift, people are afraid to go near eachother, celebrities wearing masks, people social distancing even at grocery store check-outs.

Businesses have had a hit with this lockdown, some restaurants are offering the carry-out food options to try and keep their business afloat, and get some sort of revenue in.

Initially the order was to remain till April 18, but of course there was always a mention of extending the date, and again this could mean May 15 is to be extended?

Latest COVID-19 update: according to abc7 so far there are 10,854 confirmed cases and 455 deaths (up til 16.04.2020).

From these numbers approx 1,587 patients are hospitalized having 32% of the patients in the ICU.

The Los Angeles Fire Department are putting in their efforts in trying to help during this pandemic, they have set up a telemedicine program, this is to help those with minor injuries so as mimimise the paramedics needing to go to these calls.

Social distancing, staying indoors and waiting patiently for this all to pass is the only thing one can do.
